AMSOIL SAE 30 Synthetic Diesel
Oil
|
Where these viscosity grades are specified, AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30/SAE 30 Diesel Oil (ACD) provides outstanding performance as a straight-grade SAE 30 for older two- and four-stroke diesels and as a multi-grade SAE 10W-30 in modern four-stroke diesels as well as gasoline engines. AMSOIL ACD is ideal for use in a wide variety of light and heavy-duty applications, including agriculture, off-road construction, trucking, mining, industrial (pumps and generators) and personal automotive or commercial transportation. It is recommended for use with low or high sulfur diesel fuels in standard, turbocharged or supercharged engines, including modern low emission diesels such as those equipped with EGR systems.

Product Description
AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30/SAE 30 Diesel Oil (ACD) is formulated with premium synthetic base oils that exceed both 10W-30 multi-grade and SAE 30 straight-grade viscosity requirements for outstanding performance in modern and older diesel engines. Unlike conventional SAE 30 motor oils, AMSOIL ACD has a naturally high viscosity index and does not contain paraffin (wax). It has a -36°F pour point and qualifies for SAE 10W, making it an “all season” multi-grade lubricant with a wide operating temperature range. AMSOIL ACD is formulated without viscosity index improvers (VI). This shear stable formulation stops viscosity loss and associated bearing and cylinder bore wear. AMSOIL ACD contains premium additives with a high 12 TBN to neutralize acids from blow-by, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and high sulfur diesel fuels. It protects against damaging piston deposits, ring sticking and sludge.
Reduces Oil Consumption
AMSOIL Diesel Oil loses only 6.3 percent
of its mass to high temperature volatility. Conventional oils
often lose over 15 percent. Due to its low volatility, AMSOIL
Diesel Oil maintains a low rate of oil consumption and hydrocarbon
emissions and retains its original viscosity after high temperature
service for continued dependable protection and excellent
fuel economy.
Resists Oxidation and Thermal
Breakdown
AMSOIL Diesel Oil resists oil breakdown
from heat, blowby chemicals and oxygen up to ten times longer
than do conventional oils. AMSOIL Diesel Oil resists forming
sludge and varnish deposits, which contribute to corrosion,
decreased fuel efficiency and increased engine wear. AMSOIL
Diesel Oil doesn't thicken like conventional oils, but maintains
its viscosity, providing peak engine performance and extended
drain intervals. Also, the advanced heat transfer capabilities
and high lubricity of AMSOIL Diesel Oil reduces the operating
temperatures of engines and transmissions.
Extended Drain Intervals
AMSOIL Diesel Oil is formulated for
extended drain intervals. Its unique synthetic formulation,
improved detergent/dispersant capabilities and long drain
additive package ensures maximum engine protection, cleanliness
and performance over extended drain periods. In addition,
the advanced 12 TBN additive package of AMSOIL Diesel Oil
neutralizes acids and keeps the engine clean and in top-running
condition.
Provides Low Temperature Protection
AMSOIL Diesel Oil remains fluid at
temperatures as low as -38°C (-36°F). AMSOIL Diesel
Oil circulates rapidly to all engine parts to provide immediate
cold start protection. The ability of AMSOIL Diesel Oil to
lubricate at low temperatures greatly reduces wear and increases
engine life.
Improves Fuel Economy and Reduces
Emissions
The premium quality synthetic base
stocks in AMSOIL Diesel Oil provide a tough lubricating film
on all engine parts, reducing friction and fuel consumption.
Reduced fuel consumption also means less exhaust emissions.
Prevents Rust and Corrosion
AMSOIL Diesel Oil contains special
rust-inhibiting additives to reduce rust, which makes it ideal
for equipment stored long term.
Mixing AMSOIL
AMSOIL Diesel Oil is compatible with
petroleum lubricants; however, mixing AMSOIL Diesel Oil with
a conventional oil will shorten the drain period of the AMSOIL
Diesel Oil. Diesel oil additives or after-market products
are not recommended for use with AMSOIL Diesel Oil.
